Soroptimist have been serving communities for
over 65 years. Membership provides direct involvement in
local, regional, national and international service projects;
professional growth and leadership development; networking for business
and social; pride in knowing that membership upholds the ideals of world
peace and harmony; and, accomplishing projects that address the needs of
women.
Soroptimist
International of Billings
was chartered October 7, 1944. Sponsoring club was SI Helena.
Soroptimist has brought together many dedicated professionals to
share their experiences and foster the ideal of service. This club
is located in Billings, Montana. We are District 4, in the
Northwestern Region of
Soroptimist
International of the Americas of
Soroptimist International.
“Live
Your Dream”,
a
Soroptimist sponsored initiative; as an online community empowering
offline action, helping women and girls to live their dreams.
Soroptimist International of Billings
identifies the needs of our
community, then establishes specific projects to address these
needs. In addition to our commitment to the community, Soroptimist
are concerned with effecting change national and international
levels to improve the quality of life for people throughout the
world.
Be The Best:
A Soroptimist is a leader in
her community. She is actively engaged in a management of
professional capacity, in the private or public sector, or in an
occupation with comparable responsibilities. She believes that by
joining with other women and engaging in awareness, advocacy and action in
the service of her community and society, she can make the world a better
place for humankind. Membership in a Soroptimist club is by
invitation from the club.

Through Soroptimist membership, you will have the opportunity to realize
personal fulfillment by blending your service concerns with social and
business interests. You can be the best by achieving your full
potential.
SIB Membership Information:
All members are responsible
for the following:
- Attendance at scheduled business and program
meeting.
- Membership on committees and participation in
committee
activities.
- Service on boards and councils that support
community
endeavors.
- Attendance at Regional Conferences.
- Recognition and encouragement of the
achievements of women in the community.
- Participation in fund raising events to benefit
club projects.
- Payment of club
dues.
